Christmas!!!!!

Okay, so we need to get better at using this blog to communicate.

Or not...whatever you guys think.

But it is that time of the year again. Now that we have all pulled names, we are all going to be asking each other about what the other one wants or needs for the Christmas.

I like what we did before where everyone took a few minutes to post a few things about interests, requests, likes, dislikes, wants, needs, etc.

So let's start posting!

Holidays are here again!

Hey family!

So it's that time of the year again. Thought I'd remind everyone that we started this blog last year for the purpose of collecting ideas of Christmas gifts.

Do you guys wanna do that again?

I liked it. I thought it was helpful.

One of the things we've been discussing around here is the fact that our families are so blessed. We all have so much, truly. When it comes to the material belongings, we all really have alot.

Not that it is a bad thing...but it makes it hard to come up with new ideas for celebrating with each other and finding the perfect gift.

As I've been walking the stores recently with MOM, it's been frustrating because there really isn't anything out there that stands out as exciting or something we just have to have. Also, as mentioned, most of us already own it anyway.

Of course, kids are easy to shop for...most of the time...

Just a suggestion, but wouldn't it be nice if we focused on something other than the latest and greatest this year? Maybe more of the gifts from the heart, or gifts made from our own hands?

I don't know...maybe I'm just rambling, and by NO means am I trying to offend anyone or tell people how to use their money or anything like that.

I think it would be fun to think outside of the box, and exchange gifts that have more meaning than just getting the newest version of something we already have that still works perfectly fine...

I don't know, what are some of your thoughts?

Also, do we want to do a gift exchange set up like last year, or just let people gift or not gift on their own?

So the current post is for you guys to post comments about things that you might want, need, like, or are interested in for Xmas!

This way people can get ideas for their Secret Santa!

As for me~

um..... maybe.....well there is....I could use.....

Post a comment below for ideas for not only you and your spouse, but ideas for the kids as well.

Now remember this is supposed to be fun. You don't necessarily have to give a list of specific items that you would like (though you could), but maybe give a list of interests to give your secret santa something to spark a creative idea from...

Let's get creative and find the Perfect gift. Sometimes those kind of gifts don't necessarily come in a box and are usually the most precious!

What's Up?

So, as Mark suggested, I've created a blog for our family to use to communicate in a more convenient way than facebook.

I haven't finished really setting it up, but I wanted to at least get the blog address out to you guys so that we can start talking to each other, or whatever, such as planning family group events, etc.
