Hey family!
So it's that time of the year again. Thought I'd remind everyone that we started this blog last year for the purpose of collecting ideas of Christmas gifts.
Do you guys wanna do that again?
I liked it. I thought it was helpful.
One of the things we've been discussing around here is the fact that our families are so blessed. We all have so much, truly. When it comes to the material belongings, we all really have alot.
Not that it is a bad thing...but it makes it hard to come up with new ideas for celebrating with each other and finding the perfect gift.
As I've been walking the stores recently with MOM, it's been frustrating because there really isn't anything out there that stands out as exciting or something we just have to have. Also, as mentioned, most of us already own it anyway.
Of course, kids are easy to shop for...most of the time...
Just a suggestion, but wouldn't it be nice if we focused on something other than the latest and greatest this year? Maybe more of the gifts from the heart, or gifts made from our own hands?
I don't know...maybe I'm just rambling, and by NO means am I trying to offend anyone or tell people how to use their money or anything like that.
I think it would be fun to think outside of the box, and exchange gifts that have more meaning than just getting the newest version of something we already have that still works perfectly fine...
I don't know, what are some of your thoughts?
Also, do we want to do a gift exchange set up like last year, or just let people gift or not gift on their own?

I agree, coming up with ideas for people is hard because we have everything we want.
ReplyDeleteI'm also think that gifts from the heart or gifts that we have made are an excellent idea, but doesn't make it any easier when coming up with ideas for that either.
I think the gift exchange is a good idea and worked well last year, I'm up for doing that again.
But again, I don't even know what ideas to give others if they pick mark and I because there isn't anything we really want. Not to be a downer....lol.
Anyways, just my thoughts.

I agree....this is going to be a hard Xmas. But I still think the gift exchange / Secret Santa was a good idea.
